Today we went to the hospital for your 20 week scan and found out that you are a boy! So I guess we won’t be calling you Amelia then, after all. We won’t officially name you until after you’re born, but both your Mum and I are really keen on Harrison Stanley Davis as your name. My Grandad (your Great Grandad) was called Stanley. Your Mum and I agreed a while ago that if we had a boy, then your middle name would be named after him. He was a truly great man & I’m sure you’ll grow up to be just like him!

Harrison (Harry for short) is a name that we both just really like. It’s not chosen after anyone in particular, although I am a big Spurs fan and Harry Redknapp was the Spurs Manager when I enjoyed my greatest night as a football fan (watching Spurs play Inter Milan at the San Siro stadium in Italy). So, I really like Harry. Although you’re not here with us yet, I’m pretty sure it’s going to suit you.

Today we had your 12 week scan, although your Mum is actually 13 weeks pregnant. The scan was a week later than usual as last Monday was a Bank Holiday. It was a very cool and emotional experience for both your Mum and I to see you on the monitor and to hear your heart beating (amazing how fast it beats at your age)! I’m a big softie and I have to admit I had to hold back a few tears (of joy).

Your next scan is in June, when we will find out if you are a boy or a girl! Very exciting and can’t wait to find out, as we already have some names chosen…
